Superyacht Air Purifier (SYAP) & Corona Induct Air Purifier (CIAP)
Elektrostatische filtratie met mechanische filtering
Benefits of SYAP / CIAP
- High-efficiency filtration: Performs at the level of E12–H13 filters (according to NEN-EN 1822), but without the disadvantages of pressure drop
- Low energy consumption: The open structure results in significantly lower energy use compared to conventional HEPA systems
- Biological deactivation: Viruses and bacteria are deactivated by the electric field before being captured
- Modular system: Can be tailored to air handling units (AHUs) of various sizes and airflow capacities
- Smart monitoring: Built-in particle and flow sensors monitor system performance without relying on pressure sensors or timers
- Durable and low-maintenance: Long lifespan of filters and components, easy to maintain

What is SYAP / CIAP effective against?
SYAP / CIAP technology is developed for highly effective air purification in critical or high-end indoor environments, and offers protection against:
Viruses, bacteria, and fungi (biological aerosols)
(Ultra)fine dust and nanoparticles (PM10, PM2.5, PM1, PM0.1)
Coarse particles such as dust, smoke, and pollen
Gases and odors (when combined with activated carbon)
The airborne spread of diseases
This technology is particularly suited for environments with high demands for comfort, safety, and air quality, such as yachts, high-end commercial buildings, and laboratories.
How does SYAP / CIAP air purification work?
Air purification takes place in several steps within a compact module that can be easily integrated into an air handling system:
1. Ionization section (flat or tubular configuration):
Air flows through an electric field that charges airborne particles. Biological particles (viruses, bacteria, fungi) are already partially deactivated at this stage.
2. EF Collectors:
Charged particles are efficiently captured by static collectors without creating significant pressure drop.
3. Activated carbon filters (optional / standard in SYAP 2.0):
Gases and odors are effectively removed using high-quality activated carbon filters.
4. Monitoring and control system:
Systems are equipped with either an integrated or external electrical cabinet with PLCs, 24V power supply, and IO interfaces (Modbus or potential-free contacts), enabling full system monitoring, maintenance alerts, and integration with building management systems or yacht SCADA.
5. Sensor integration (SYAP 2.0):
Built-in particle sensors at the inlet and outlet continuously measure filter performance. The integrated flow sensor optimizes the electric field and guarantees performance, even with variable airflow in the AHU.
Application Areas
Superyachts: High indoor air quality standards without compromising on space or noise levels
Air handling units in buildings: Offices, hotels, museums, or cleanrooms where standard filters are insufficient
Healthcare facilities and laboratories: Where protection against infection risks is critical
High-end commercial buildings: Offices or commercial spaces requiring a premium or sustainable environment
Buildings with smart monitoring and integration needs: Suitable for integration with existing Building Management Systems (BMS)
